Christmas is within touching distance now, there are only 26 sleeps until the big day. I’ll just let that sink in for a minute… If you’re anything like me, getting festive-ready is a frantic process, so a Christmas self-care blogger box swap with Lauren from Bournemouth Girl sounded like my perfect way to prepare. I’ve been so lucky with my blogger collaborations: two with Hello Bexa (here and here), Jordanne from The Life of a Glasgow Girl (here), Lydia from Mademoiselle Women (here), and Jenny in Neverland (here). I can’t tell you how excited I’ve been for my box swap with Lauren this month!
Christmas self-care blogger box swap
I can’t remember when I first started following Lauren but it feels like I’ve known her for a long time. She’s one of the kindest bloggers around, and how she manages to blog on top of a full-time job, plus studying, plus family life, is one of life’s miracles. Her blog is lovely mix of reviews, tags, and hugely supportive posts about lots of small businesses and fellow bloggers.
The box itself was lovely, beautifully decorated with the dreamiest of wrapping paper. And here’s what I received inside.
Cosy nights in
Nothing says a pamper evening like a good book, chocolate, some face masks and snuggly socks.
I’ve read a couple of Jenny Colgan books before and loved them, her writing is so engaging and her stories sweep you along on a feel good wave. This one looks just the same, I can’t wait to get stuck in. And chocolate! Not just Rolos (I definitely won’t be sharing my last one) but lots of hot chocolate too – yum.
While I’m sipping my hot chocolate, I’ll be chilling with this lovely nourishing Argan Oil face mask and zapping my eye bags with the Garnier eye tissue mask. I always get very cold feet in the evenings so this pack of festive snuggly socks is extremely welcome – I’ll probably wear both pairs at once…
Stationery
There’s no such thing as enough stationery is there? How gorgeous is this Coconut Lane notebook? And I recognise the postcard from Pastel Elixir, I popped one in my box for Lauren too, haha. I don’t know where the little white and patterned notebook is from but it’s the perfect size for my handbag.
I’m just about to run out of writing paper and envelopes so this lovely letter writing set couldn’t be better timed. The designs are perfect for a gardener like me and they’re so pretty I almost don’t want to write on them (but I will 🙂 )
Christmas and crafts
How cute is this little rose gold reindeer? Perfect for blog photos and our Christmas tree in due course, Flora and I both love him. Speaking of Flora, she always makes her own Christmas presents for her teachers and selected friends and family. This year we’re going to decopatch some little cardboard heart boxes but I haven’t got the paper yet. Thanks to Lauren, now I don’t have to, we can use these beautiful sheets from the Let it Snow paper pack. And then add some festive finishing touches with the washi tapes and these cute, sparkly Christmas stickers!
Final thoughts on my Christmas self-care box
I’m absolutely staggered that Lauren managed to find all this for our budget of just £20.00. And how well she knows me, considering we’ve never actually met in real life either. Everything is so gorgeous and thoughtful, I feel very lucky and pampered. Thank you so much, Lauren, I feel properly set up for all the festive planning ahead. I am so glad you liked the box, my wrapping skills are sooo not the best haha! I am so glad that you like everything inside. I tried to tailor it as best as I could seeing what you post about and like. I also have read Jenny Colgan before and this book was such a bargain from The Works that I am actually going back to buy this exact book for myself! ?. Once you have read it maybe we could compare notes on why we thought about it. When I saw the writing set and saw the design I thought it might be something you would enjoy! I know how you and Flora do a lot of crafting and so I thought those gifts would work well. Oh, Lauren, I LOVED everything in this box, you are so thoughtful! I was wearing the socks (just the one pair) last night and drinking some hot chocolate too, it was bliss. Flora was so excited to see the craft paper, we’re probably going to make a start on the decopatch boxes next week so I’ll have to post some pics of the finished articles when they’re done 🙂 Jenny Colgan is on my TBR pile but I’ll definitely let you know what I think when I’ve read it. And a massive thank you for collaborating with me – I certainly wouldn’t describe my self as an established blogger, nowhere near in fact, but that’s a huge compliment and confidence boost to me, thank you! Aww Lisa!! This is such a fabulous self-care box and I’m so happy to see two of my favourite bloggers collaborating! Everything here is so sweet and thoughtful, Lauren did amazingly well. I love love love the colourful wrapping paper, its beautiful! Yay for cosy socks! Ha ha, I’m the kinda person to wear two pairs at once as well, I get cold so easily! The stationery and letter writing set is so dreamy, those floral designs are gorgeous. I love all the Christmas bits too, I definitely need some festive washi tape and stickers in my life. Cosy socks are the best at this time of year so it’s lovely that Lauren included some of those for you! That Highlights hot chocolate is one of my absolute favourites, I don’t like tea/coffee so I always have some of this in my cupboard in the winter months! I’ve never read a Jenny Colgan book before but I love Christmas books so I might have to pick it up myself!

Aw, this is a perfect Christmas-y self care box. My favourite items are the gorgeous floral writing set and the print. I get cold feet too so fuzzy socks are a must have for me for a cosy night in. Along with some hot chocolate and a good book, bliss.

Lauren really did nail it, didn’t she? What a wonderful selection of goodies – perfect for this time of year! Snuggly socks, chocolate and hot chocolate are the perfect combination on those cold days/nights. I love the stationery, too, and I was looking at those exact Christmas stickers at the weekend! I only didn’t buy them because the shop was too busy, and I didn’t have time to wait in the queue. Can’t wait to check out what you got for her!
