Creating Personalised Calendars With Your Photos *

4th December 2025      Lisa      4 Comments

AD | A personalised calendar is more than just a place to check dates. It’s a simple, beautiful way to turn your favourite photos into something you enjoy every single day. Instead of buying a plain, store-bought calendar, many of us are now choosing custom designs because they add warmth, personality, and a touch of creativity to our homes and workspaces. It’s practical, it looks great, and it brings a smile every time you flip to a new month. Let’s take a closer look at how to start creating personalised calendars with your photos easily.

Why Choose a Personalised Photo Calendar?

Keeps Your Favourite Memories Alive

Most of our photos stay hidden on our phones. A personalised calendar brings those moments into your everyday life. You get to relive a happy memory each time you flip to a new month. It’s simple, but it adds real emotional value.

Perfect for Gifting

It’s often hard to find a gift that feels personal. But a photo calendar solves that problem. It shows effort and thought, and it works for birthdays, Christmas, anniversaries, or any family celebration. People love gifts that remind them of the moments they cherish.

Practical + Beautiful

A custom calendar keeps you organised while also brightening your space. It feels useful and personal at the same time, and it turns a basic item into something that reflects your style and personality.

Step-by-Step Guide to Creating Your Personalised Calendar

Choose Your Photos

Start by gathering the photos you want to use and pick images that truly mean something to you. Clear and bright photos always print better, so avoid anything blurry or dark. You can go with a theme or mix different moments. Some people match photos with the seasons, others choose a memory that fits the mood of each month. There’s no right or wrong here, just choose pictures that bring you joy.

Select Your Calendar Style

Next, decide what type of calendar you want. Wall calendars are perfect for kitchens, living rooms, or hallways. Desk calendars sit neatly at your workspace and keep your reminders close. Family planners help busy households stay organised.

Pick a Theme or Layout

Most tools offer over a hundred ready-made designs. You’ll find classic styles, bold patterns, modern layouts, floral themes, minimal templates, and more. These designs will make your calendar look polished, even if you’re not a designer.

Add Personal Dates and Notes

This is where your calendar becomes truly yours. Add birthdays, anniversaries, school breaks, family trips, or anything you want to remember. National holidays are usually already included, so you only need to add your special events. A small note or icon can help you remember important days at a glance.

Arrange Your Photos for Each Month

Place each photo on the month where you want it to appear. You can match seasons with winter pictures for December or sunny shots for July, or simply place each memory where it feels right. And you can adjust the cropping if needed.

Preview Everything Carefully

Before ordering, take a moment to preview the entire calendar. Look at each page, check the dates, notes, and photo placement. Make sure names are spelled correctly and images look sharp. A quick review prevents small mistakes and helps you get the best final result.

Place Your Order

Once everything looks perfect, you’re ready to print. Most personalised calendar services offer quick delivery, and many calendars arrive ready to hang. If you want to save money, consider ordering multiple copies as bulk discounts usually apply automatically, which makes it easy to create gifts for friends and family.

Create Your Calendar Now

Creating a personalised calendar is a simple way to turn your favourite memories into something you can enjoy every day. It adds warmth to your space and helps you stay organised in a way that feels personal. If you want a smooth and easy experience, explore options like Photobox, where you can create a beautiful personalised calendar in minutes. Simply choose your best photos and begin designing a calendar that reflects your story. And now’s the perfect time to start.

I love this calendars and I get one for my husband almost each year. I use a photo from each month, as you suggested, and get one of those with the photo inserted. This way he can keep the photos and dispose of the empty calendar. It’s also lovely to look at the photos and pick the ones that are going to be included.
