AD | Your bed frame is your biggest bedroom purchase alongside your mattress, and you’ll want it to provide a service for a good long time. However, while most bed frames last at least 10 years, they can go out of style long before this, no longer fitting your interior design and personality. The solution is simple, and good for your bank balance too. You need to buy a timeless bed frame that will always blend into your home and create a luxuriously cosy aesthetic in any bedroom.
Why Do You Need A Bed Frame?
A bed frame is the structure on which your mattress lies, but it can also be a part of the bed, as in a sleigh bed or a futon, for example. A typical bed frame has four legs connected by crossbars that support the mattress, keeping it off the floor, and which are usually joined to each other with bars that run through them for extra strength. Bed frames are usually made of wood or metal and are generally rectangular in shape, although some can be curved or round shaped. Some may have decorative scrollwork or intricate carvings as well.
What Is A Timeless Bed Frame?
It’s a bed frame you can’t pinpoint to a specific interior style, trend, or era. A design that can go with any style and comes in a variety of finishes to perfectly fit your space and stand the test of time. Here are eight beautiful bed frames for timeless style, including traditional, modern, elegant designs that will work in any bedroom.

The Time Living Metro is a modern classic bed frame with solid metal construction and straight bars. Birlea Sienna
The Birlea Sienna is a sleigh bed with timeless style. The grey crushed velvet fabric oozes luxury, and unlike many sleigh beds, the headboard scroll doesn’t push the bed out from the wall more than 3”, helping preserve floorspace. I like the shaker style and Milan ottoman bed. Didn’t like the bow on the metal one. One thing people need to watch for with the fabric padded ones is that they can become dusty or dirty and be hard to clean. So be ready for the commitment….
Good point about fabric headboards, Priti, thank you – and yes, Shaker style is my preferred look too 🙂
