AD | Despite what you might think, boots* aren’t just for winter, you can rock them all year round. And there are so many different styles to choose from. Full length are great with every outfit and especially functional during rainy seasons (I have some full length purple suede ones that I ADORE). Mid-calf lengths are more dressy than ankle boots, but more casual than knee-high, and can be multi-functional as well. If you’re looking for a go-to shape for every season, then here are a few ideas to get you started.
Mid-calf boots
Mid-calf boots can spice up any outfit, no matter what the style. Premium designs in a bold red will call attention to your feet for that ultimate fashion touch. And you can’t really go wrong with this shape either, especially with a chunky heel. They’ll coordinate with any outfit and look great in the spring and summer too. Think floaty dresses or denim shorts with a cowboy boot for festivals, for example.
Ankle length
Ankle boots work brilliantly for any season and look great with dresses or trousers. Because they’re fun and flirty in the spring and summer, and you can pair them with leggings, tights or trousers in autumn and winter for a chic, cozy look. Choosing a sock-like style that hugs your ankle will allow you to wear these with even the most challenging of outfits.
Brown boots
If you’re looking to make the ultimate fashion statement, try pairing some brown boots with an all-black outfit. This is an enduring all year round trend in most cities as brown on black can look very dramatic for work and for leisure activities.
Lace-ups
Lace-up footwear with deconstructed jeans or a cute mini dress can pack a real punch. And you can wear these ensembles in any season for a down-to-earth style and an easygoing, relaxed vibe.
You can’t really ever go wrong with boots. Pairing the right styles with the right outfit will get you through any season in the most fashionable, practical, and comfortable way. Do you like wearing boots? What’s your go-to style of footwear that you always rely on?

I’m not a big boot gal. I always love the idea of a cosy brown hiking-esque boot with tights & skirts & chunky jumpers in autumn but the reality of boots (faffing with laces, trying to get a good calf fit) always then puts me off them. Maybe I just need to dedicate a small amount of time to finding the perfect boot and I’ll be a total convert!

I have large calves (a legacy of a LOT of horseriding when I was younger!). The best boots shop for me is Duo Boots (they have an online store) because their boots come in a huge variety of styles and calf-fittings, plus they offer a money back guarantee too. My favourite purple suede boots are ancient now but still going strong and they came from Duo 🙂
I love boots and I’m a huge fan of mid calf lengths. My go-to in Winter is boots, tights and a dress but I’ve also worn my pointed toe boots to Summer festivals. They’re so versatile.
They really are so versatile, aren’t they? I only recently started wearing ankle boots with skirts and I love them!
Loved this, such a great read!
